ferretman89 68
Hi all I am wanting to clean my BSA lightning .22 Barrel up. It looks a bit dull in colour compared to the rest of the gun but i am unsure on what to use? The silencer is black and i wouldnt mind trying to match it up so it looks like a continous colour rather than black and a washed out metal look. Any advise will be greatly appreciated Cheers Quote Link to post
Wildling 520
Are you talking about Re-Bluing the metal? To be honest as long as your Rifles metal parts don't show any signs of heavy rust I'd be half tempted to leave it well alone, sometimes Re-Bluing even with the so called easy treatments can leave you with a Barrel in worse condition than when you started. Especially as you'd be removing any existing Bluing on the rifle first before adding the new treatment. Also seeing as it's not a massively expensive Rifle with a high resale value, the money outlay for what seems like a quick and simple task could soon mount up! Just my opinion though mate. 1 Quote Link to post
