Cedric 132
I thought it was .22 to start with. A better scope will help with the hmr. I've just got rid of mine as the wind deviation was getting me frustrated and have got a Hornet but I did like the hmr. Have you had a fiddle with the trigger yet or is it OK? Quote Link to post
Bigad 136
Seems fine think it's been tinkered with before I got it Quote Link to post
celticrusader 78
Ad I got a Nikko sterling game king 4-16x50 on my 455 and its cracking for the price...I've put six in a thumbnail at 100m's mate, I don't know what mag the mountmaster is running mate but I'd consider one of these for the price of £65 roughly. Cedric 132
If the rifle is new to you check that a piece of paper will slide between the barrel and stock all the way along. Any points where the barrel touches the wood will affect the accuracy. Quote Link to post
Bigad 136
If the paper won't slide down then what should I do ? Quote Link to post
ianm 2,594
If the paper won't slide down then what should I do ? Start wittling. 1 Quote Link to post
Cedric 132
If the paper wont fit easily just take the stock off and sand down the barrel reccess until it's clear of the barrel, not much! Don't forget to seal the bare wood against moisture - wood oil or similar. 1 Quote Link to post
John Stott 202
Nice rifle and sound comments. One if I may? Let the action bed in as well, a few hundred should see it very tight at a hundred. A fellow near me has a newish X Bolt, Browning, its taken about three hundred rounds afore the groups tightened. Still whittle and sand though, good for the soul! Quote Link to post
Bigad 136
Sorted it nill wind and abit of practice Quote Link to post
Bigad 136
That's 46 yard (close zero point ) So happy with that dead Center shot went back to 100 yards And did this Which lead to 4 rabbits left one bad mixy Quote Link to post
Elliott 436
That looks more like it You should be stacking those shots at 100 yards with a HMR Quote Link to post
Bigad 136
Got 4 shots touching the dead Center shot then the one abit lower thing I pulled the trigger too hard the grid on the target are 1/2 inch squares Quote Link to post
