As I said before, they are voting for an idea not a well thought out plan mate

I honestly believe it is a well thought out plan though. It's politics so there will always be teething problems but on the whole I really think it will be the best for Scotland.

All the bad points being highlighted are also 'maybes'....not many, if any facts from the No campaign that make me want to say No. Westminster are trying there best to keep us and that in my eyes speaks volumes mate.

Unfortunately a lot of English are sick of hearing how England holds the Scottish back.   This vote has done nothing but fracture the union and Scotland.

I'm absolutely disgusted at the fighting in George square Glasgow yesterday, the whole of Scotland were given a choice and the choice was made, no one is any less a scot for voting no and no one is mo

I cant believe there are all these pages arguing who does this and who said that, at the end of the day either vote yes or no on the 18th, there is absolutely no need for all this hostility over it. J

Fair play Lab, but there is no getting away from the fact that 8 days out you don't have a currency !!!

You don't have an army or navy or airforce

You have no idea what your currency (when you decide what it is) will be worth

All pretty major stuff wouldn't you say mate ?

Everyone realises that we are stronger together, it's a no brainer pal.

You will be non EU so you won't be able to just pop over the border or do some work or anything like that.

I mean this is no joke matey

oil counts for 15% mate, norway is what 20/25%... we have alot of oil left, more than 100 year

you talk about taxes and benefits etc what about the £126 a second scotland pays for debt it didnt take out or need, at nearly 74.000,000,000 at this post,

scotland pays billions for trident, for high speed railway for down south, house of lords/west minister, fake wars and more, good savings could be made there...

whats the border like between ireland and the north?

we will have a good enough army for a small nation, just not the army or tools westminster want to try be a player on world stage

Just to point out, Shetland and Orkneys have a rightful claim to nearly 70% of that. So if they leave you will loose 10% of your GDP straight away. But 10% is neither here nor there eh. LOL.

I'd also guess that the percentage of GDP that oil represents will increase in years to comes as it becomes more expensive to recover.

thats a debate for another, time will tell... a new/better scotland or a broken union... you can try pull out all the negative stuff you like, i thought by now, no and other would realise it doesnt work

i was going to edit post above: scotland has 1 % population of euro, 20% fishing in euro, 25% renewable, 60% oil, another reason why we will get in

edit:

as it gets more expensive, the price will probaly rise?? oil boom on the way ;)

Aye the fine details are debateable but the rough figure is there. And it's not for another day Joe, because it IS going to be a consiquence of your vote. You know as well as I do the Shetlanders and Orcadians hate an independant Scotland and much prefer the Union. So, the way things stand you look like you will loose 10% of your current GDP as a result of YES.

Bit late by then though isn't it? But that's been the recurring tactical response of team YES all along........ "all these people with control over our future are lying to us, you wait and see". LOL LOL.

You're taking a big gamble and you know it.

In all honestly mate I can't answer your questions.....I'm putting my trust in far more intelligent people than me. Yes some of them are politicians and that is worrying but some are normal everyday people with high class standings quite content in saying we can do this and not to be afraid.

Or do I vote no and plod along as we are watching lots of money getting squandered on rubbish. I could tell you right now, hand on heart if I felt the UK was being run in the right way I would vote No on the 18th. But you know and I know the country is being run by a bunch of bams who couldn't care less about aspects of life that are close to me/you.

Ive made my mind up and I doubt it will be changed by the 18th.

I understand all the concerns but that's me finished on the subject. ?

no because i believe when faced with the difference of how scotland will change for good and how the uk is/has been, that will be enough for most of them and most of scots

Yous keeping trying to scare a no vote, like no campaign. Scots can see past it.. Whats the risk of staying in union???? How's the nhs down south

The uk is the 4th most unequal country in the developed world..

Joe, I'm sure you are aware that the NHS in Scotland is already devolved to the Scottish parliament. Salmond is bare faced lying when he says Westminster will privatise the NHS in Scotland...... Only Salmond and the Scottish parliament have the power to do that.

Its well explained what the risk is, how it will effect the nhs... nice try

What do you mean, nice try ? I'm right, and if you are as informed as you think, then you'll know I am.

with the nhs rapidly getting privatised down south, so far the scottish gov has protected the nhs, even with the previous cuts to the budget.. as long as we are part of the uk scotlands budget is decided by the uk gov, even though we make enough to pay for current services. all big parties are on record saying more cuts are on the way. cuts to the english nhs through being privatised will also lead to cuts up here.. the only way to make sure the nhs is safe is by voting yes

its a similar story to improved childcare the scottish gov would implement, they have the powers at the moment but the taxes generated from it would flow straight to westminister instead of scotland... scotland wouldnt see any of it, there for couldnt aford it under the uk gov setup

scotland has 7% control of £, lets make it 100%

In reality mate you and us are the same, in as much as we can't afford any of it, we can not even afford to pay the interest on the national debt each year.

The difference between the interest we can afford to pay and the interest owed is the deficit.

Most of the bail out was to Scottish banks, but as a union we all shared the debt.

Short memories the Scottish.

I notice the Irish are big enough to appreciate the help given and will often say as much.
