That's another issue

SHETLANDS and Outer Hebredies are made up of peoples of Scandinavian decent

You's Scots might just set a precedent where they say that they want to go it alone or align with

Norway ect or even England lol

What then Joe and Co ?

The Scandinavian progeny of the Shetlands/Orkney have made their feelings clear already. They have no wish to be part of an indepedant Scotland. The two options on the table are joining their cultural and genetic cousins in Norway or repatriating with the UK, which has served them well up to now. I believe negotiations at the highest level have already taken place to this end.

Unfortunately a lot of English are sick of hearing how England holds the Scottish back.   This vote has done nothing but fracture the union and Scotland.

I'm absolutely disgusted at the fighting in George square Glasgow yesterday, the whole of Scotland were given a choice and the choice was made, no one is any less a scot for voting no and no one is mo

I cant believe there are all these pages arguing who does this and who said that, at the end of the day either vote yes or no on the 18th, there is absolutely no need for all this hostility over it. J

another fact, scotlands economy doesnt depend on oil..

Another fact, yes it does. It's just not solely dependant on oil.

And another fact, we all know that.

and without it, scotland would still qualify for the highest credit rating, higher than current uk rating

you might, and others, still many here who doubt it

Again wrong Moodys are the ones dishing out credit ratings to nations and you ain't nowhere near AAA rating no where near ;) and to answer previously show me one positive that is actually factual ;)

A big worry for me, and it is a BIG worry, if Scotland votes "yes" and a few years down the line it all goes wrong, the rUK will feel duty bound to bail them out, just as we did for Eire when their economy and banking system went tit's up ! The UK had NO responsibility, other than being a member of the EU to bail out Ireland, but we did, above and beyond what the EU did, simply because of our shared history !! If Scotland decides to go it alone, well, I wish them luck, but I will fight tooth and nail to make sure they are independant from rUK and will fight against any bail out's that may or may not be necassary when Salmonds dream turns to shit.

I'd be embarrassed and ashamed if that happened lol

My take on it is that if it had been the Scots that had overrun England, even 300 years ago or so I'd feel the same as the lads on here are saying and want my country back as an independant nation. The Scots as a nation are socialist so it can't be a surprise that they resent people with a different mindset hundreds of miles away telling them what they can and can't do. However I've got a gut feeling that it will all go tits up in the future and not just Scotland will feel the heat from it, the rest of Britain will be burnt too.

Steve, you should read a bit of history; England never overran Scotland 300 years ago. What really happened was Scotland had a disastorous foray into trying to start an empire in Central America and brought Scotland to the brink of bankruptcy. They then asked for the union with England to save themselves and their country. There is a lot that went on in the past that 95% of Scots don't know about, and Salmond sure isn't going to tell them the truth about the past........or the future.

nearly correct but your forgetting that scotland didnt ask, england offered to bail scotland out and did so because the scots were going to declare the catholic line of the stuarts as king which would have let the the catholic s have a big say with the french on one side the scots on the other and protestant england sandwiched in the middle plus their was threats from england to wipe out the scots who were in no position to defend themselfs,

He who shouts the loudest doesn't scare me, all you see is yes this and yes that, but I wonder how many Scots are on here and see only three for yes everyone else is quiet,, ?????it's a no from me, you won't get me iam part of the union

cameron fought so hard 2 years ago to keep devo max from options on the 18th, and has been against it since.. now with a few days left, they are scrambling to offer it for a reason..

tomorrow when they arrive in scotland remember this, "we will give you more power if you vote for less power" lol
