MrAlex 4
I've always used raw meat with my pups but of course you just have to be sensible about it. I use fresh good quality meat and never leave it out for the whole day, and never had any problems - although you're right, puppies are a lot more vulnerable to the various strains of bacteria than adult dogs. Dunkanon 380
If your worried about calcium you can top up with a supplement for little money.
socks 32,253
I'm currently using a complete puppy and adding beef mince. How would you give the pup calcium without the complete? Also I guess if a mother regurgitated food there would possibly be some amount of bone in there? Joe I always give my pups sf50 ( used to be sa37 ) up until they are around 9 months to a year old ... It has all the trace and base elements that pup needs that it can't get from a particular diet .... It's pretty cheap and you only need a small amount once a day on a meal ... It has served me well over the years and I have never had a pup lacking in anything using this .......
