With some of the good old traditional british food we have it beats me why folk opt for this cheap nasty foreign slop anyway......particularly in these times of supposedly supporting our own kind.....not to mention healthy living !......

Traditional Cypriot food.............same as if im in China id eat traditional Chinese food......................but i live in England.

Did you try the big skewers of meat in Brazil mate?? Tried it in a restaurant here bloody lovely it was

Certainly did mate they call them Rodizio,s which is like an all you can eat meat buffet type thing.....................the ol cholestorol took a bit of a hammering that month

That's the bugger, same here re the buffet/eat as much as you can set up. You pay around 17€ and eat as much as you want...... bollocks think I might go today now lol save cooking :laugh:

Greek food is awesome... Dolmidas, Mousakka the little stuffed peppers etc fook me I'm ready to eat lol

Gorgeous.......nice bit of Kleftiko cant beat it........or Stifado if you like your beef......if you like an Olive you,ll love it .............if i had to choose id pick Greek above anywhere for food but like any place its how its cooked..................

 

I did once book a weeks holiday on the spur of the moment just to go to a certain restaurant i liked in Rhodes thats how much i like it

Do love a bit of Greek food myself. Had a Greek night out the back garden a few years back, about a dozen people, bought a lamb and made Kleftiko out of lamb shoulder, moussaka, dolmades using some leaves off my grapevine, beef stefado and lamb shish kebabs, some dips, olives, greek salad, flatbread etc even finished with greek coffee and ouzo... absolutely beautiful.

 

I reckon you have to eat the 'proper' food (as opposed to tourist grub) of a country whichever you visit.. don't think I could go with some of that Vietnamese food though.. fetal duck eggs, yuk.

Yeah I think you would have to be careful when ordering asian food, but I was watching tv once and some of the street food looked mouthwatering.
