moocher bb7 51
Ive had it one night the plod swarmed us on permission us being me and 1 other pal of mine 5 cop cars 1 riot van running through field to us and made us lie on the ground asking why we didnt run away I replied genuine people hunting on permission dont following with a few angry chosen words they took details and said enjoy your evening sorry but were having trouble with poachers around here Quote Link to post
deanflute 550
I'd rather them have my details and leave me to it than not having my details and get harassed every time you step foot on the place. If you're not sure about it leave it for somebody to hunt on 1 Quote Link to post
nothernlite 18,089
Why would you not want to think it would make easier save you getting hassle jmo Quote Link to post
DeerhoundLurcherMan 997
You will still get hassle if they know who you are or not. If they find something illegal has been happening they will be on to you first that is all. Quote Link to post

Dengil 27
Longside get the tel number of the local police that cover the area where you will be out lamping and phone them, tell em the farm / land you will be on and what you will be doing. That way if anybody thinks your out poaching etc if they see your lamp shining around the fields and phone the police they will be aware that it is you and that there is no need to deploy officers cause you are there genuinely carrying out pest control. Believe me mate they will appreciate it as its saving their time in the long run, my dad does this every time he goes out on his permission just out of courtesy. if you ain't doing out wrong you nothing to worry about. 3 Quote Link to post
Dewclaw69 484
as long as you have permission thats it. the landowner has no obligation to disclose anyone on their land. if there is hassle on the land i'd steer away . Quote Link to post
johnrthrfrd 223
Had to inform local plod on a couple of my perms just an email to give them your details and reg. of your car saves a lot of bother, I know a lass on the switch board at one of the stations I'm registered with and she says the amount of calls they get when I'm out and my 4/4 is parked up on land is unreal. morton 5,368
Got some permission on lancs / Yorkshire area I know this area is a bit hot with the police but they have got in touch with the farmer asking if he's given permission for vermin control to contact them with details who doing it really not sure about that the old bill knowing name and the rest The area is hammered by lurcher and terrier folk, believe it or not many of them are less than desirable to have in the area, many are not, thus the police are attempting to make life easier for themselves whilst protecting the rural community and property. As others have said, ring the local plod and inform them where you will be,vehicle details, landowner etc.then hunt away, good land is worth a little hassle.
