Lab 10,979
Thought I was talking to football fans and they say Celtic is not a big club??? Wouldn't mind asking people in all different countries if they have heard of Celtic or West Ham. How many West Ham fans have you heard describe themself as a massive club ?.............All comes down to the unfashionable phrase in todays game.............. " we know what we are " And we know what we are, a mediocre side at the moment due to the financial demise of Scottish football. Doesn't mean we're not a big side mate. We compete in the CL most seasons, take a few scalps but never punch above our weight. I can understand and Englishman like yourself would get scared of a "wee Scottish" side joining your league and in time competing with the best of them.

gnasher16 30,280
Well Gnash treatments nowadays are I'd say better than 20 yes ago And there are two blokes I know who had major heart surgery back then after massive heart attacks and believe me nowadays are a picture of Health and going strong. Not trying to scare you and it prob wouldn't anyways but back in the day they cut them down the middle and basically hacks sawed their breast bone to open them right up to do what they had to do Maybe it's time to calm down with the weights Get in the pool' on a bike ' get a little terrier ( I know a lad with a cracking well bred litter of Patterdales x Lakelands ) and walk. Press ups Pull ups Hang a bag in your garage But heavy weights can't be good for any man after 50 surely ? Get a metal detector Youl put fooking miles in swinging away without knowing it Not to mention digging fooking loads of holes for fook all lol Just use common sense and be truth full with yourself Best have 20-30 yrs left with sensible exercise Than not knowing just so you can train like a 20 yr old Empty your message box thing. See we will just have to disagree then mate. I certainly would see it as a hand out....I would love to see us pit our wits against some of the best clubs in your country week in week out. It won't ever happen but I'd love it if we did. Why?? Because I know, like you do that Celtic are a massive club, with an even greater following than you could ever admit. And that history and support in the EPL would be enough for us to secure some decent money and challenge at the top. Maybe not so good for your wee hammers cause they could possibly be the team that loses out in the long run. I can see where you'd be worried...?

If that was genuinely the case.....why were you Scots not fussed about joining our league before it became the Premier League ?................If it was simply about pitting your wits money wouldnt come into it......why should we save your game we didnt cause the mess why do we need to clear it up ?.....besides which whats in it for us,what do we get out of it ?.... We dont need clubs turning up to buy success we,ve got Man City and Chelsea to do that !
oneredtrim 148
We....is an odd word Len, without non football generated monies (twice) Trafford would never have been around to give us the Babes, ask Ian Ayre what non football monies did for Liverpool in 2010. Perhaps more football supremo's should dig deeper into thier pockets instead of taking out or constantly waxing-on about players recoupable value's..Johny foriegners making some of em look like small time shop keepers with the work and infrastructure taking place in the communities. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/business/manchester-city-etihad-stadium-adug-7313788 ps...since the article was written the housing stocks been given the go-ahead (£'s) to expand to 55k dwellings with associated primary schools ( 6th form colleges and olympic municipal lido's have already been funded). Organic growth will be along very shortly Len, i know for a fact the Manc parents of 4 of the u14 team are extremely proud, funny the press give little space to the 7 city lads representing England u16's in a single season, must'nt have fitted thier agenda http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Academy-news/2014/February/City-under-14s-national-champions

Where being proud fits in with your above statement im not sure but you can understand Tommy Catons mum for being proud all them years ago.
