It's the second one in two years and it means the Jill's have to be spayed ... On the up side it means that there are two less Jill's to worry about come the summer and their seasons ........ So if you haven't noticed the lump (but everybody should if you check your ferrets daily) then when the hair loss starts get in there and have a good feel about in the stomach ... Vin that operation is a little bit beyond me lol ... It cost me the massive price of £70 ... She will make that back in a mornings ferreting ....... 1 Quote Link to post

Sirius 1,391 Posted August 20, 2014 Report Share Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) I have one now with a tumour at the moment but shes getting on 8-9 years old, touch and go if its worth doing or not, more than likley PTSI have also had it in another old jill, which was around the same age which I PTS. chloewx 0 Posted August 28, 2014 Report Share Posted August 28, 2014 Hi one of my jills who is around 7/8 has developed what the vets believe to be a tumour,my vets have advised me not to operate but to give her what months she has left and put her down.. but I have seen many people where the surgery is successfully done:/ any advice if it's worth an op?
