Cedric 132
What is the best barrel cleaning regime for a .22 Hornet? It's a new calibre to me. Quote Link to post

slipper 116
I ask again but is that with lead hp bullets or is it ok with copper coated vmax bullets every 100 shots aswell? Quote Link to post
Cedric 132
I'm using V-max and copper jacketed soft nose Remmingtons so no lead in contact with barrel. By 'cleaning' do you mean a quick pull-through or a good scrub with barrel cleaner? Or something in between? Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
Unless you are using cast bullets Slipper, you wont have any lead in contact with the barrel, I dont know of any factory ammo that uses lead none jacketed bullets for hornet, unless you mean .22 rf then dont ever clean it, I use a pull through, with kitchen towel soaked in Phillips barrel cleaner, a couple of swipes and dry patches, and the barrel is sparkling clean Quote Link to post

The same as any other centrefire and some rimfires! As with charlie caller, I'm not aware of any lead hornet ammo, aren't they all coated, have I missed something or is someone else getting confused?
