CharlieSlade 14
Hi, If anyone is thinking of starting a bait station for the winter squirrels or even now, I've found them to have a real love for plums. There's a plum tree outside my bedroom window and considering we haven't really seen many squirrels about since we shot quite a few at the start of spring there's been a huge amount on the tree, up to 4 at once! I've had 6 in the last 2 days on it, they can't get enough of plums. Just a tip, use plums on your bait station = almost guaranteed luck Quote Link to post

CharlieSlade 14
Yeah me too, the thud as they hit the ground from a headshot out of a tree is strangely satisfying Quote Link to post
paulk73 151
fill with cheap cornflakes and a few peanuts. it works out much cheaper. Quote Link to post
CharlieSlade 14
It's alright because we've got plum trees on our farm, so it's free and also a decent bait station which comes back every year Quote Link to post
