Snake In The Grass

grass snake,see a lot around this way and some go 4ft plus, dog chucked one the year that smacked around my legs the musk they excrete when agitated smells fooking horrible :laugh::laugh:

that would be the smell of your decaying toes :laugh:

 

no deffo grass snake scent once smelt never forgotten. stunk of it all summer as kids :laugh:

Recently I was walking the dog on forestry walks, had a lucky escape, saw the dog looking at something on the path in front of us, i grabbed him by the collar, and then noticed an Adder sunning its self on the path, if i hadn't grabbed him, im sure he would have been bitten.

Been given advice if your dog is bitten by an adder, give the dog an antihistamine tablet and walk it steadily to your car

no running, then get it to the vet as quick as possible, is this good advice?

Unless the dog is going down hill the antihistamine will be enough .........
