Bosun11 537
Putting these on for a good mate. Bred for own use. Out of his 27" bitch, Ridgeback/Grey X Bull/Grey, she's around 7years old and has run the spectrum, fast and game. I have seen this bitch (Widow) run and she is always impressive, also good out with terriers. The Sire is out of her litter brother to a 3/4 bitch, around 3 years old and 28", this dog is doing very well. Pics of pups and Sire (Widow was out getting her fitness back when I called round!) Pups priced at £100.00, dogs and bitches left, PM for details. Cheers

Have never heard of a pure ridgeback doing any work, not having a dig just genuinely interested, my brother has just bought a pure ridgeback pup for his kids.

Guest john2007oliver
Went with a couple of my mates why they picked a pup each up. Nice dogs and a decent bloke. Keeping one of them in my kennel for a couple of weeks for my mate will be good having a pup around Settled in really fast though and its taken to me Can't wait to see them in action next season John Edited October 21, 2007 by john2007oliver

Gareth12 225
I did read correctly and I am perfectly aware that the dogs not a pure ridgeback! However if hes a ridgeback x greyhound then either his sire or his dam was a pure bred dog so just wondering if the dog is out of working parents or just a show dog/pet that had some fun with a greyhound! Alimac yes they were bred for hunting lions a long time ago, doesnt mean they have any instinct to hunt any more though!

As he says his dogs is 100% on everything so clearly the ridgeback he bred from still had hunting abilities.
kreet 0
im sure ridge backwere bred to hunt lion and are used to tackle some big cats lynx and mountain lyon so im sure they wouldhave had the tools to take fox and deer pre ban as a pure breed (they aint the slowest of animals) and im sure with the right stuff in the mix long ear would even on the list . and if you wanted it to tackle a boar it would have the tools to so dont think there a bad breed to have in your working dog ! regards kris ps nice pups mate . The fella who had the seems genuine and i would not let anything thats been said on here be off putting. And BTW just in case anyones confused like i was there was a few pups there not just them two pictured above

And BTW just in case anyones confused like i was there was a few pups there not just them two pictured above Well said John, these pups wouldn't have been put up on this site if I had any doubts about the parents or the lad who has/had them, all very good stuff. As I said before, I know the Bitch well and rate her highly, I figured such an unusual litter would generate interest on this site and it would be great if they have gone to the right hands who get the most out of them, I wish all well for the future. And yes, there where more pups but I didn't have the space on the camera or the time for all, so sorry about the confusion (and poor photography!) but a very nice batch all the same. Cheers
