Stopped At 8 In The Bag And I Was Going To Go Home

Got to the farm for 6ish and checked zero and off i went walked the fields and only saw three but they soon ran off i think i may be a tad to early so i fond some where to lay up for a bit but no luck there ether.

 

So off back to the car where i was thinking of going home and calling it a night but i went for another walk and lay.ed up i was there for some time when one jumped out at about 45 yards so i took aim and ........missed........i lay,ed for a little more but i had left the battery's in the car for the lamp.

 

So off i went again aaaa feck it im going home ,the light was fading by now so i thought i would give the paddocks a try .

 

It was as if all the rabbits on the farm had gone there i climbed the fence and there were three in front of me so i went prone and let one go it just lay down ,one ran for cover but the other one went to see why its mate had lay,ed down so it found out why as it lay,ed down to.

 

I went over and picked them up when over in the corner was another with its back to me so i took a kneeling shot and that was in the bag to i then went over to one of the tree,s and sat down for a fag when another popped its head out but in my hast to get the rifle i scared it off .

 

But by now i was happy with the three on the way back to the car i came across another at the far end of the paddocks so it joined the other three AND I WAS GOING TO GO HOME

by now the light was gone so i got the battey,s set the lamp up and went for another walk round and came to the top end of the paddocks where four where sitting so i went prone and picked one of them off and the others scattered but one must of felt brave and came back so he was dispatched to.

 

There were loads of kits around at one point i just lay there and watched them play , in one group i counted ten and in the corner another 8 ,so i jumped the fence and went back to the car well chuffed back at the car i took some photos of the six i had shot and skinned them and took the money shot .

 

I then headed down to the park and got one sitting under a table then the next was over the fence sitting next to the big tree so it joined the rest so i stopped at 8 in the bag and i was going to go home but when i went to take the photos of the last two the camera,s power was out .

Well done mate, I'm going try & get out on Friday or Sunday , heading home from chelmsford in the morning mate; should have had the gun here with me ! The rabbits here are the size of dogs every field there's half a dozen just chilling out; no one must bother shooting them !
