iworkwhippets 12,615
Nowt wrong with a bit of extra warmth when youve been out with your dogs on a bitterly cold day, a good rub down, then on goes the tube heater, 2 Quote Link to post
Little Huntress 40
Let ye dog grow its coat for fooksakeJust so I know... Should he be sleeping on top of or under the duvet at night?? Old bath towel, few stitches in the right places and hey presto a lovely jacket for your mutt. So I've got to be able to sew as well as cook and clean... Don't expect much do you boys??!! Nowt wrong with a bit of extra warmth when youve been out with your dogs on a bitterly cold day, a good rub down, then on goes the tube heater, They had dogs that recovered more slowly and got over injuries more slowly and got arthritis at a younger age ....... how the f**k do u know oh so every body needs heat lamps now or the dogs are going to be f****d if ye work it and av arthritis by the age of 4 .never heard of fookin mushroomI know because by the way you speak I have probably kept dogs longer than you have been alive and my father and his father before him kept dogs so I have seen the progression and know when some things have changed for the better .....Just seems common sense to keep your dogs as well as you can... You want them to give you their best day after day so why not do the same for them? Edited August 13, 2014 by Little Huntress Quote Link to post

iworkwhippets 12,615
im talking about winter months here, i noticed when she bedded down for the night, her head was up her arse, thats cold, got a tubular heater for her, on a timer, checked on her the following morning, fully stretched out and ready to go, common sense really, plenty to choose from if you google em, good luck 2 Quote Link to post

If a dog could speak it would probably say turn that fookin light off Quote Link to post
roybo 2,873
Tube heater for me too ,I used infrared heat lamps And the bulbs kept blowing right pain Quote Link to post
bird 9,937
ive got heat lamps (red bulb) in kennels, but only use them if its really cold, more so for my older dog. both dogs got very good coats on them, more so my young dog Buck. And when he been out lamping, I only give him good rub down with towel + dinner and he fine with that, no heat lamp . Quote Link to post
