Guest joe ox
Thats fair enough Ian I agree everyone is entitled to there opinion. For the record my opinion is not based on that one incident I have had a lot of experience with farmers/land owners over the years. There is good but also quite a lot bad! roystoncrankted 1
A well known guy from where we live was shot and killed while out mooching with his 20 inch bedlington cross local to where you live Ian B. YES he was poaching but so what that is not punishable with your LIFE. The FARMER got 18 month in prison :realmad: for shooting and KILLING a man with a wife and 2 young boys. The guy was a personal friend of mine and nitedogs so I agree with him in saying F**k FARMERS :realmad: sorry to hear that why did he only get 18 month though Quote Link to post
Guest joe ox
He was supposedly well connected to the guys with the funny hand shakes/ ranks where closed/the british justice system etc etc. There was only two people witnessed the incident! Who knows roystoncrankted. He was only charged with manslaughter! Quote Link to post
Guest Frank
Sorry to hear that joe, that was not called for, what that famer did! Did this happen in Norfolk? I see your point, to a certain extent, as i have experinced bad and good famers over in the Uk, i have also experinced some very bad ones over here. Lukyly, over here so far, most are approachable, as John Galway above. But i have come across a lot of crazy ones over in the Uk, death in their eyes The posh nobs over their are the worst, very insulting. All that land, and no one is allowed on it? Quote Link to post
Guest joe ox
Frank it happend in the north east near hartlepool. The guy was out lamping with his mate they got chased and split up in the confusion. He was caught then apparantly a argument started and he was shot and killed! The farmer who did it was well known in the area for being a nutcase and shooting at anyone who trespassed on his land! The little bedlington cross he had with him was found hanging around next to the body alive and well. Quote Link to post

I poach all the time but i still agree if a farmer catches me and i start getting abusive to him etc he has every right to take what ever means necessary, even if that is shoot me or my dog. He just better hope that shot kills me otherwise his life will be a prolonged torture Stock falling over, crops catching fire. Face it we are in the wrong. Were on his land, killing his wildlife and to add insult to injury we get abusive. Fair play i recon' Tragic story about your mate but i bet this was not the first time the farmer had had to tell poachers to get off him land Edited October 19, 2007 by john2007oliver Quote Link to post

Brummy 9
I'll tell you now the worst people for throwing their weight around on 'their land' are the syndicate keepers/shooters. These fcuking people get all wound up doing their day jobs as accountants/plumbers/coppers and come the time they are driving around 'their' land in their spotless 4x4's they become the lord of the manor or Laird of the Hill. It never ceases to amaze me how gobby and threatening the fcuks become from the comfort of their trucks or with their gun over their arm ! VERY AMUSING INDEED !! I have encountered a number of them locally. Strange really how many of them think they are within their rights to shoot your dog merely for trespassing or being near their fcuking pheasants/partridges !!! Part time plastic country squires............... Absolute dickheads !! I've had threats to: Shoot all my tyres Shoot my dogs Call the pigs Call all their mates to kick me in ! Burn my motor Have it if with them now !! (sexy!!) Arseholes the lot of them............ Unfortunately I'm surrounded by these pricks where I live..................so I go out VERY late at night..............and apart from that my permission stretches way into the surrounding counties on all sides :feck: Quote Link to post
