Leeview,

The judges were well received before the event and I am confident ALL of them know a whole lot more about dogs and sportsmanship in Ireland than a guy who creeps on to the forum at this time of the year to criticise everything we try to do to promote a positive image of working dogs. If anyone looks at his posts about our Game Fairs they will see a pattern emerge from the posts from a person almost totally ignorant about what he posts and someone who obviously has a huge chip on his shoulder over his exchanges with me. I consider I am fortunate never to have met the man - I can argue with the best of them and in fact I now regard many of the people with whom I had arguments with on this and other sites as friends, because I recognised that their criticism was constructive and when we met up we spoke our minds and agreed to disagree. I don't mind anyone having strong views or speaking their mind. AND I don't mind him criticising me - as I totally don't value his opinion. BUT I do object to him criticising our event organisers who are good dog men trying to do a difficult job and run fair events.

Ah at last a reply from aj himself LOL

Why did nt I get a reply from you when I asked who chose the judges at Shanes castle? or my many other questions I've asked about your shows?

I have no interest whatsoever in answering your questions as you appear to have no interest in anything other than trying to stoke up controversy. I cannot understand of what possible interest it could be to you who chose the judges but. the judges for Shanes were chosen by Kieran Young. When Kieran whose show at Mourne is regarded as one of the best in Ireland agreed to take over as Terrier, whippet & lurcher director at Shanes I delegated total responsibility for the show to him other than me finding sponsors.

I suggest that unless you are going to show or race your dogs in Ireland you really should not make ill informed statements or ask irrelevant questions..

albert j , everything you've entered on this topic is spot on ....I personally couldn't have said it any better myself ...well said my friend , the same idiots slandered me also , this " john deere" character changes his profile every so often .....while he is being the laptop ninja , Brendan is out walking and working his animals ...these people aren't worthy of owning any dog...theres an old saying ...." IF YOU HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ... THEN SAY NOTHING AT ALL" .....Brendan is one of the most "straight to the nail " people you would meet ...a true dogman.....and keeps only quality animals ....jim Dalton . p.s - these people do show their dogs (work ???) .... but the difference is "they spit their dummies when not called" while the rest of us will cheer on the winners and support the show for what it truly stands for...

I totally enjoyed Birr Gamefair last sun, great day out as always and very well organised.

As usual theres begrudgers who cannot get true any show with out having to knock someone, theses fellas have really high opinions of themselves and feel no one else is worthy of a prize only them , ,id advise Mr John Deere and co to stick to The Child Handlers class as they usually give all entrants a prize and will certainly be on the same mental level as there competitors, the judges at Birr were top class,Ye just have a touch of the greened eyed monster,,Lady Poacher thanks albert for the great show.

I've read this from start to finish and people should take shows for what they are when people start bitching about who's winning what they init for other things than a craic it's a pound and a craic with the boys I've yet to dig a rossete in

The winter some people take shows to serious he picked his mate this and that it been going on for years just enjoy your day out anything else a bonus simples
