I don't need to prove anything to anybody, I know what I see and feel and that's good enough for me I also except other people don't feel the same........I don't bare them ill will because of it. If you have faith, that should be enough. As long as everyone is being polite about it and not throwing stones from glass houses. Strictly speaking mate i would be classed as an agnositc i think? I believe in the big bang, the expansion still happening from it can be measured so its hard not to, but i don't like the matter/anti matter explanation for it, how do you get "something from nothing" type of stance, if that makes sense, and if it was friction between matter and anti matter that caused the big bang, where did the matter/ anti matter come from, why should there be anything at all? So to be fair you have to consider a "creator" caused it to happen, but that's where i draw my own personal line. What i don't believe and find incredible that others believe is the gods men worship, any of them, personally i think there's a lot of factual things in the bible, but its nothing to do with any god or creator, the more i look into things the more i think the bible explanation is describing something which came billions of years later, if Adams rib isn't genetic engineering ill eat my hat mate, but it wasn't down to a god imo, Ezekiels experiance is blatently a spacecraft, especially the description of the engine "made a noise like great waters" how else would a primitive man describe an engine, and why would god need an engine? Lots of other things are hard to explain, like the knowledge of the sumarians, their depiction of our solar system, and its accuracy, something we didn't know fully until the 1930's, and a more obscure thing, the pineal gland, and its function, its been a symbol of religions for hundreds if not thousands of years, yet we didn't know what how most of the human body worked, or what the organs did until recently. I think "god" is a very narrow, easy to understand way to try and give it some form that anyone can understand. It's all there in the bible if you let your mind run free (JMHO ) .........the problem starts when you start to take it all literally. But then again the bibles mostly copied from earlier works, like the Sumerian stuff so maybe you're right in a way? On a serious note Fraz, i know a few blokes who did lots of drugs at one time, now some of them have turned into bible thumpers like you, maybe it's a side effect in some people lol.
