When I was a child I prayed to god and asked for a bike, but I knew god didn't work that way so I stole one and asked for forgiveness instead ?.

I will clearly state that my belief is that God does NOT exist. However, you can't prove that something doesn't exist, so if your telling me that I'm wrong, then I'm going to need some proof. Proof th

I've had a google and they reckon it's about 5000 pairs. What I can't understand if God was so powerful, powerful enough that he can make the world, he could do all these amazing things. He summons a

That's easy. None of it matters to me.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm here and that's what counts. Theories about big bangs and stuff written a long time ago has no bearing on my life whatsoever.

I'm not sure how diesel engines work, but as long as my van and jeep get me where I'm going, I don't need to know.

Now this theory of of dead matter arising spontaneously has been proven wrong fifty years ago fact, so atheist havent a leg to stand on they need faith an beleif, for evoloution,

So dead matter can't all of a sudden get up and come to life, that's a fact? How's Easter working out for you? You roll that stone away, laddy.

As for the argument that Atheists wouldn't stand-up to a religious uprising, I think you'll find if push comes to shove I take a firm stance that nobody has the right to kill or suppress others in the name of a belief system. Those that do use it as an excuse for abhorrent behaviour and atrocities against their fellow human species.

If I am held at knife point and asked to convert to any religion my reaction would be the same either way "Is this how you are all converted?". No threat of death is going to convert an atheist or anyone of any other religion. An atheist has no afterlife to live for so might as well go down fighting if you can, who knows, you might win. A believer in another religion believes in an afterlife so what have they got to worry about? The threat of death to convert people is the totally wrong marketing campaign but being Christians you'll be fully aware of what the inquisitions resulted in, right set of values. Hang on, is that what prompted the scenario of having a knife to my throat and being asked to convert or die? Seems a bit of a coincidence.

Edited to remove Christian association from the Inquisitions. They still led the Crusades though as they felt they needed a greater presence in Bethlehem despite being in Europe and Bethlehem being in the middle East - Remember, hearts and minds people, if they don't believe then cut stop their heart by detaching their mind from their body, that seems to work pretty well.

Well thats fair enough, you dont care, so why you adding your two pence worth, an then saying you dont care, doesnt make sense walshie.

Hutchy its no bother for creationist to beleive that jesus resurected from death, so as to conquer it, thats why he came here to overcome what the devil, accomplished, bringing death into the world via sin, when he tricked eve in the garden.

That was a supernatural act of God raising christ jesus from the dead, but hold on atheists dont beleive in the supernatural, so why you using jesus resurection for your point when you dont beleive it happened, now thats stupid.

Hutchy were the smartest an most evolved right now according to atheists, yet you cant make a grain of sand in the lab, let alone life, an its been proven by science, that life cannot arise from nothing, fact

I don't need proof because I have faith.......as far as I am concerned everyone can drive themselves mad proving things till the cows come home, I trust what I feel.

A person who has faith in their heart shouldn't want or need to look for proof......why would you ?

Your not going to like this wilf, lol, but thats what mormons say awe we get the feeling inside, imo you can be easily deceived by your feelings, thats how pilots crash, or lose control, cause they follow their feeling, instead of the dials, not a pop mate just a bit of truth.

Islam is on the march across europe and from what I can see irish and British people's descendants could be in trouble if we are all complacent about our beliefs and culture

Woah there Christian soldier!!!

It wasn't too long ago that folk were saying the exact same things about Christianity. Do try to remember that Christianity, by recorded fact, is still by a very long way the most violent religious belief system the world has ever seen, a long, long way in front of any other.
