My point was is losing a toe/s going to enable the foot to work better ?.......if not how is that evolution. psst Len..That's ^ working on the premise that all evolution is for the better (think there's a big list somewhere of civilisations that have gone up thier arse and died off), whilst modern medicine makes us live longer it also comes to play that modern man cannot naturally trump some diseases of yesteryear...which is ok, if antibiotics are half handy. Well i must of got this evolution through natural selection caper all wrong then i was under the impression some things evolved and some things went extinct i guess some things just happen for no reason at all then which seems to make the whole evolution process a bit of a naused up pointless theory altogether !...............Just when it was starting to make sense as well. I dont keep saying Pssst Len....though generally i do like to say whatever i want...just like every other f****r..there are no hidden fees attached Evolution ain't immune to the theory of 'for every action'.... Having a big toe makes balance easier but its not essential thats all to do with a combination of the levelling mechansim within the inner ear i forget what its called,and what you can see......while the big toe is obviously very important in standing and walking you can learn to stand and walk without them. The experts reckon that the little toe,is a useless appendage and as such we are slowly loosing it ... Is that not evolution ??? ........ " Slowly " ??.........if it only took a few million years to turn from apes to humans i reckon we,ll be lucky to hang onto our little toes till the end of the week !!....makes you think this evolution lark dont it. In truth most modern religions are based on the tales of the old gods, the flood, hell etc. I expect even then there will be a few dancing around Stonehenge with some made up ritual loosely based on sickles and mistletoe. The sickle comes from the old gods Zeus/Chromos the mistletoe from old northern one Woden etc. Modern religions are just a hodgepodge of earlier ones that have been rehashed to suit current trends/fads Link to post Share on other sites
