You would think that it would carry on giving an account of gods work after the time of Christ as it did before the time of Christ. The other option is Erich von Danikens threory, as an agnostic I have to take all theories in to account, if I am ever to make my mind up.The fact that both creationists and evolutionist disregard him as a crackpot. but to be fair they say that of each other, it does not alter my thinking at all. He has a theory and not matter how far fetched it may seem to me it is worth looking at. To be fair his theory is no more far fetched than some that have been published in this thread and it would go some way in explaining the missing link. If you believe, then all the power to you, if you believe in evolution great, I do not knock either, but as I have an open mind I am willing to look at other options. I'm not too sure what you mean about dinosaurs, as I've said before, I just see them as animals that have died out, I still thing we've got a couple on earth not, rhinos, crocodiles, Komodos. . I've worked in my new post since January, very few know about what I believe, it's only shared with people who'd like to know. You gotta understand where folk like me and frazdog are coming from, we get dismissed as "bible bashers, loonies, nuts, crackpots" and so on, when really we're not all. . Maybe we've taken the matter of life a little more seriously than most, looked into things. . Realised that as soon as this thing called atheistic evolution which is disguised as being scientific is put under serious scrutiny falls apart at the seems. . We then ask questions, find signs of creator/designer, get convicted in our hearts to ask a question that God himself begs "are you there? Reveal yourself to me. . He does so in way that cannot personally be denied. . You get changed from the inside out, your mind becomes illuminated, you now see things clearly, you realise the madness of the things you once believed of true. . It doesn't mean we are infallible, but the God we believe in is. . And yes sometimes folk like can become a little over zealous, but presuming everything I've said is true, maybe you would too. Field Marshal, I respect your beliefs, I really do. If that helps you through life, that's great. Some people need drugs or drink to get them through life. Some people need people all around them. Some people need to believe in god. Who am I to dictate what you should or shouldn't think? I (personally) don't need any of those things to get me through, and spending my time trying to fathom the meaning of life seems a bit pointless to me. Life is here and i'll take it as it comes. I don't have definitive answers, but life is too short to constantly worry about the whys and wherefores. I also believe NO-ONE has definitive answers. There's ones that are more probable than others and everyone's view will be different. If everyone thought the same, things would get very boring very quickly. Walshie, I respect you as a man. You come across as an A1 gent to me, no buts, qualms of maybes. I'm with you on many pages, I think are beliefs should never come before treating others with respect and dignity. I feel Ashamed that I've given the impression otherwise. I don't think I think I discovered my God because I felt in need of anything, I merely wanted to know the big questions and my days did I get answer. . And at the age I was it was a pretty inconvenient time actually lol. I wanted to sow oats! Crash and carouse. But instead I denied all that to serve what i know to be true to me. . Looking back, it's the best thing I could have done. . I've said it before. If religion is a crutch, to someone like me (healthy) a crutch hinderance ! You are highly ignorant amigo. . There are plenty of very credible scientists from all over the world who believe in the bible. . A drop in the ocean. Below it reports that of elite scientists in the US, only 7% believe in god. I do not accept that so many people believe in a God, without good cause to. On the other hand I look at other religions gods and think their followers are just as fervent in their beliefs as Christians. To be honest I do not care where we come from, the fact that we are here is enough. At this moment in time I believe there is no one God the almighty! That may be an anathema to some, but make sense to others. I know a few born again Christians and without fail each and every one of them was for the want of a better word, a waster, before they converted. Most people are like myself, and live a life where we basically follow the ten commandments just common sense and decency. If you live your life in that way, are you not living your life religiously anyway? Way back at the beginning of this thread it was said God = Good and although all the religions have different tenets they all have one thing in common, their God, who ever it may be, is the epitome of every thing good to them.
