bird 9,864 Posted August 15, 2014 Report Share Posted August 15, 2014 any religion any faith show me one physical bit of evidence that a god did anything, not something written by a man in the name of a god, or a link to a video of a man telling me about god, god is nothing more than a coping mechanism for the weak. those that fail to accept that there is nothing more than life and death, we strieve to distance ourselves from the nature that spawned all life in the hope that we are more special than any other creature on this planet, sorry to have to tell you, we live and die the same as all life, Amen to that! true that , it all stems from humans fear or the dark, from 1st man to walk the earth . it started with animals that could kill him in the day, but heightened it in the dark , meaning what he couldn't see (the fear of the unknown ) . so the dark was evil = devil another name for bad things etc. , daytime = clouds ,rain, things to keep us alive = nice things etc. another name for nice things (god) all comes from man imagination over active mind . , my old dad all ways brought me up saying enjoy now (life), because there nout out there when your dead and gone . It makes no difference to my life what other people believe, so I genuinely don't understand how anyone could try to foist their beliefs on someone else I've had discussions regarding this subject in the past with The Field Marshall, and we have just agreed to disagree like gentlemen. Certain people who have contributed to this thread need to give their head a shake. Not for what they believe or don't, but for their bad attitude in assuming anyone with a different viewpoint is wrong. Personally I'm not a believer but when we buried my mum, I arranged a full Christian service for her. For HER. As with all other walks of life, you do your thing and i'll do mine.
