PFS 12
I usually use stingray, which I find pretty effective but it is a bit pricey, I've been looking at getting some Vulcan sc, have any of you lot used it? Bit jubious as it doesn't contain an Igr, but it's nearly half the price & fleas are pretty busy for me atm so the cheaper the product the better Quote Link to post
nod 285
Me too. Might go back to ficam Quote Link to post
StephenWalsh 73
Ficam W. 2 Quote Link to post
WhiteN 15
Personal preference ficam w, never had any problems with it so far, but im sure at somepoint that could change Quote Link to post
PFS 12
Do you buy the jar or the sachets of ficam W Quote Link to post
Bootsha 1,306
sachets available on ebay, drop one into 5 litres of water..... and use...... excellent stuff Quote Link to post
DIDO.1 22,838
Personally I think how you do the treatment is more important than the chemical. Also if you have a few call backs its easy to loose confidence in what your using. I use killgerm alphamax plus which I mainly buy in the sachets for ease of use and to reduce waste, I mix this with pyriproxyfen igr. This in effect is similar to stingray but is cheaper and pleasant to mix in the sachets (1 per 1 litre) The SXcyperforce is also well priced and I have so far had no unexplained call backs and it can be mixed with an igr. PFS 12
I had some sx alpha pro on the van and decided to give it ago on fleas & both jobs I had call backs in a few weeks. So that well put me off it. I'll give that a go dido.1 one thanks mate Quote Link to post
DIDO.1 22,838
first 3 jobs i used cyperforce for I had call backs, I only dug the rest of the bottle out when I ran out of everything else during a busy spell! now iv used it for alot of jobs and I'm ordering some more on monday as its been 100% since. bout 30 squid a bottle and only 25ml per 5l for normal jobs. PFS 12
Yeah I saw it is sx's new catalogue and I thought sounds a bit cheap. I used to do free call backs and inevitably most jobs "needed" a second spray (just customers getting their pounds worth), now I charge for a second treatment I hardly get any problems. DIDO.1 22,838
exactly the same here! lol Quote Link to post
stormyboy 1,352
Ficam w is our main choice, and stingray for void properties. (Quicker knockdown for hungry fleas). Has anyone found any difference using igr mixed in with Ficam? I've had no call backs using just ficam after trialing both,so is it necessary? Quote Link to post
DKGPestControl 22
Always use K-Othrine WG250 I find it works great. I started to get some call backs using Ficam W but not used it for a while now. Cimetrol is also pretty good but pricey again Quote Link to post
DKGPestControl 22
Stormyboy Think its just an added expense! If you don't need it then why buy it! Less chemical being used too! Win Win in my book Quote Link to post
DIDO.1 22,838
Your prob right with the igr. I cover a big area so will just use it for long distance jobs for the rest of the year and will let you know if I notice any call backs with my other jobs. Quote Link to post
