teddog 59
Alittle bit pis#ed off today as i'm running out of dates on my show shedule.i travel all over the country with my lurchers.there's no feeling like winning a rossette.now the winter will be here soon and you can't take them out because it gets dark early, windy and raining and they get filthy dirty.they cost me a fortune in dog salon. 2 Quote Link to post

zandy01 3,575
I think it's more in relation to this particular forum/part of forum is related to working dogs 99% and 1% showing them... Just about everyone in this forum is itching for summer to be over and autumn/winter starting as that's the time for working season to start... Regardless of weather, come hail, wind, sleet, hail, rain or snow, dogs need walked, exercised and worked... Nice that you show your dogs fella and good that they winning rosettes but most people on here that have dogs work them and hose em down afterwards - not take them to a salon... My whippet lives in the house as he's a pet 1st and foremost but even in horrible weather he gets out on muddy wet fields for exercise and towelled down afterwards, washed properly with dog shampoo if needed but never ever in a salon... No disrespect to you btw... Quote Link to post
