Which is the best caliber for hw77 k for hunting. Heard that it is best in .177

A calibre you can hit the kill zone with every time.... Both are as good as each other man, hit the zone and the target will drop. 177 has a flatter trajectory, and is perhaps more 'forgiving' with distances, but the 22 hits harder.

My HW77 is pretty awesome in 177, my HW97 likewise in 22! Both will do the job very well

All four cals will do the job as long as you know your set up ,ie gun ,scope , pellet and most impotent your self

I prefer .22 for hunting. and spring rifles are better in .22 less recoil and easier to cock. (when compared to .177, never used a .20 or .25)

Its not the rifle cal its the shooter both will do the same but its how good the shooter is as the shooter is the only thing that can fail atvbmac :thumbs:

Regarding the use of .177 caliber (and provided you shoot accurately) do you think it is capable of killing rabbits "humanely" or would you recommend .22 ?

Yes it would and so will all the other cals as long as you can do your stuff right

.22 smoother to shoot but .177 flatter trajectory personally I don't know spent ten years trying to decide still no nearer knowing so buy 1 of each lol
