mattygg 0
Does anyone else suffer from bad connections with the standard lamp connections eg cigarette lighters, Jack plugs and Croc clips Came to a head the other night when lamping and dog just about to strike right in the middle of a huge field and then it was dark So off to B&Q for some inspiration and came up with this, ( hope pics work! ) Only cost about £4 in all and feels really robust I have got a great confidence in this connector, Another tip, dont buy the expensive battery belts put the batterys in a rucksack then chuck all your bunnies in there too Quote Link to post

witton 6
I tryed that standard white cable once with the blue and brown wire running through it and it heated up and melted when the lamp was on for a couple of mins during a run. It shorted the battery and almost set fire to the bag lol I had to tip the battery out of the bag and use my boot to rip the melting wire off the battery. It melted the casing of the battery a bit and burnt a hole in a back pack. Shit myself, don't really know why it happened but luckily the battery was fine after being charged up. I use a male and female battery clip used on them tamiya RC cars. The clip was on a car for years and has now been on the lamp for this season and it never fails. Never had the lamp cut out yet, last season i was useing a jack plug for a while but the contacts in the plug went and the lamp kept cutting out. So when i got back i just cut it off and used the connector i'm using now. Witton Quote Link to post
