logan esq 99
The tx or the 97 mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ....................................................................................................................... its hard ..........................if you have the money buy both as both are top class rifles but hears another one the aa pro sport more or less the same rifle as the tx but no bear trap and its another top class rifle but only made in right hand stock and just as good out of the box but fantastic once tuned But if its the tx you want then you could do worse ,there a fecking good rifle and as said before you will not be disappointed atvbmac  I'd have to agree hear, I looked at the tx. Fitted nice to my arm and eye. But went for a pro sport.imo looks better also has a shrouded barrel. But like a lot say you could do worse. AA are quality rifle but the again so is hw. Pro sport all the way!!!! But you have to choose a calibre. ATB 1 Quote Link to post
RogerTheCat 3
I have the same the TX200 hc in 177. I honestly love it, it my favourite gun to shoot. Very accurate. The bear trap takes getting used to but the secret is to have the pellet out ready before you start to reload. , Quote Link to post
davyt63 1,845
hi i have a AATX200HC .177 out of the box probably the best underlever and once tuned by Dave Hall, its freaking awesome! however you don't need it tuned if you are just plinking/hunting,they are more than capable. if you have one which twangs not all of them do! (apart from the Friday afternoon ones ) what you might want to do is de-grease de-burr,polish the internals and re-grease.as you would with any new spring rifle? if you was to take up target shooting HFT/FT then a defo tuned is in order! other wise do as above i also have the HW97 which is as accurate out of the box,but they tend to need a tuned, and once tuned by SFS awesome! and lets not forget the AA prosport,i dont own one but have shot a few, lovely looking rifle. another underlever, and nice to shoot to and also one to look at is the Walther LGU, i don't own one.but have shot one,and have seen first hand how accurate they are out to 65yds,as are the above mentioned if i had to choose AA or HW it would be AA why? simply better out of the box good luck in your quest, to find the right spring rifle for you cant comment on the HW77 yet,as it is at SFS getting ST2 tune the TX was modelled on the HW77.
