I've recently been thinking about getting a TX200 as I've owned many air rifles in the past but i want to try out a spring powerd one and many people have suggested the TX - if anyone has one could you pleas tell me how it is and if it's worth the money ;) cheers

Mate.

This isn't a dig at all, but a quick research would show that TX's are perhaps, other than the HW range, theeee best spring rifles you can buy in a sporting sense and well worth the money.

No need to say anymore. I dont know whether your being serious or not........ :victory:

I was shouldering both TX200 HC and HW97K last week at local Gun smiths, both are beautiful rifles and the TX200 HC honestly felt more comfortable and natural but only by very very small margin...

I'm still undecided as my worry is how awkward the "bear trap" on the TX200 is during cocking - feels like is be swapping hands all the time ???

Anyone got any views on this ???

I've read the TX200 HC is excellent straight out the box and HW 97K is very good but also excellent once tuned...

I'm swaying towards a HW97KT but would appreciate peoples views/opinions of bear trap on Air Arms and also views/opinions on HW97 ???

Sorry for the thread hijack btw.

I do know what you mean man. Being a left hander, I actually find it a mission to load a TX, a few at the club, also make a racket sound at the end of the cocking stroke, but they are sweet and on the money.

I have a 97KT with a V-Mach kit installed and it was the right choice for me. Super super rifle, when we both on the same song sheet.

Hi, i have a tx200 and if using for hunting, the noise of the beartrap is easily rectified by just depressing the button until fully cocked (does not make the ratchet noise then) practice makes perfect .

But IMO tend more to use Air ranger now as less hassle reloading with 10 shot mag + its no recoil and more accurate.

But you will find tx is deffo the best spring rifle at the minute :victory:

The tx or the 97 mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm .......................................................................................................................

its hard ..........................if you have the money buy both as both are top class rifles but hears another one the aa pro sport more or less the same rifle as the tx but no bear trap and its another top class rifle but only made in right hand stock

and just as good out of the box but fantastic once tuned

But if its the tx you want then you could do worse ,there a fecking good rifle and as said before you will not be disappointed
