big andy 62
Should have done this years ago !! bought a barnett a couple of months ago after getting bored with my air rifles which I use to control the pests in my paddocks.. mainly squirrels and corvids. Took me a while but when I knocked the first squirrel down with a hex nut I was well chuffed..and hooked !! Since then I have had ups and downs but the maggie count is rising which is good because the tossers keep trying to nick my hens eggs !!. I am lucky enough to have two yew trees in my paddocks so the next stage is my own build with two in progress, one for me and one for my little boy. Got one on the way from Longers to give me a bit of confidence in what I am doing and see how its done. One problem at the moment..while removing the tubes from a barnett I slipped and stabbed myself to the bone on my draw hand...what a knob !!!!
Guest OutdoorFanatic
Seems like your having fun If you wet around the tubeing when you remove them they should come off easily enough twisting them helps as well .

Jake w 232
If you use the Barnett catapult when adding and removing tubes I find if you boil kettle and hold the tubes over the steam not to close but close enough they tend to go on and come of a lot easier matey Atb jake w
