Guest Frank
http://www.examiner.ie/irishexaminer/pages...5373-qqqx=1.asp I was listening to the radio this afternoon, with a DJ and a ISPCA officer talking about these clowns. I could not belive what i heard, the DJ, asked what type of dogs were used, the officer replied, Lurchers. The DJ, then went on to say, these must be dangerouse dogs to do this and would it be a matter of time before it happens to a child? The Officer replied, yes, it only a matter of time!!! This is all we need. If by chance, ye are on this site, can you see what damage you are doing to the image of the working lurcher??
jigsaw 11,863
I was listening to it also Frank,a bunch of a holes, cruel idiots.Pullingcats out of trees and cats crawling back to their owners with their insides hanging out.mindless pricks. In fairness to one spca bloke he said any dog can be turned into a savage, its not the dogs but the owners thats the problem. Guest Frank
Exactly jigsaw, i agree. The talk was fine, till the Dj & officer said they are dangerouse, this will put a bad mark now on the lurcher no doubt!
mad al 146
This is just great then Frank, mind you I think looking at some of the threads on here of late, it's not only Lurchers under threat.........it'll soon be everything we love :wallbash:

cúagusgiorraí 57
I reckon one day the lurcher will be either banned or heavily controlled. The way things are going.

YET A LOT OF THE RESCUE CENTRES WILL TELL YOU THAT 99% OF LURCHERS MAKE FANTASTIC FAMILY PETS, WHEN THE RECENT LAB ATTACK ON THAT YOUNG LAD IN DUBLIN WAS MENTIONED HE BASICALLY SKIPPED THROUGH IT , IF IT HAD BEEN A ROTTY/APBT/STAFFIE ETC HE'D HAVE BEEN ALL OVER IT THEN WOULDN'T HE
cúagusgiorraí 57
Believe it or not I have met some Golden Retrievers who were more dangerous than any of the banned breeds.
ldh 0
Believe it or not I have met some Golden Retrievers who were more dangerous than any of the banned breeds. im my experiance its the breeds like collies that are more likely to turn, and most yappie little rats with stilts ( sorry reaally dont like small dogs)are more likely to bite than 'banned breeds' its the owners who need sorting train a dog the right way and in a way befitting of its breed/purpous then theres no problem- train it wrong and theres a really bad problem waiting to happen cúagusgiorraÃ- id be giving him a proper beating mate as for this gang of youths on the radio- yet more who need teaching the errors of their ways.. little b*****ds, i have a serious abhourance of cats, cant stand them, but i could never treat one like that lee

The DJ seemed to be a trouble maker in the conversation. At one point, even the ISPCA officer was trying to say, lurchers make great pets, but the tit of a dj, stoped him half way and started on about that it could be a child next!!!!!, fecking dick head. Prehaps we should all phone in and bombard him with some real facts. ?
