Didn't chipper have one that was doing ok? I only know of dogs who had that blood in them and the lads who owned them blamed the tumbler for their iffy temperaments.

Many years ago at a show ,,,breeze and lamper off here ,,,hood winked me in to having a chat with that Burrell fella who breeds them tumblers,,,,I can still picture there faces from across the show giggling like school girls...

Yer, I do remember but even Chippers views were scarce, nothing very definitive.... O'l Jeff would claim they run the spectrum and they've certainly been around long enough (!) but pre-ban, fox, deer, hare, lamped for numbers etc..???

You very rarely hear many good or bad views on here which is odd considerin everyone seems to have something to say on most of the others

 

The vibe I got from the website is they are trying to cater more for the pet market, for people interested in owning a piece of rural history lol or romanticised by the idea of their 'stealth hunter' roots.

I have a working 1/4 Deerhound 3/4 Greyhound bitch, Storm. Just started entering her into work this year and shes coming along leaps and bounds. Picks rabbits up for fun now, just waiting for the season to come round so i can get her into it properly as she is showing a lot of promise!

 

Much better than my dumb Saluki cross - had nothing but issues with its behaviour since i got the bugger!
