I normally recommend that people join a local club first and learn things like ranging targets and point of intercept with your scope. The advice you have been given regarding setting out paper targets is the right way to go. But PLEASE don't shoot God's critters until you can put a pellet inside a 5pence piece at all of your hunting ranges. Quote Link to post
