Ruster 9
I am kinda interested in getting a browning bps but none of my LGS stock them, What is the process in ordering one online and having it delivered to my LGS? Are there any online stores with good reputations? What happens if when it gets delivered it doesn't fit right? I assume most places will do a no quibble return Thanks for any help and advise Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
Travel mate, then you can try before you buy, are you sure none of your rfds can get you one in, surely? Quote Link to post
andyf 144
Only Browning's UK importer can bring guns to England/Europe. So you could start by finding out who that is and ask them. The problem is that the whole import/agent thing is ALL about selling goods, (guns in this instance) and making profit, and NOTHING to do with you wanting to buy one. They would only I suspect be interested in importing a batch i.e. at least 100+ units to make it worthwhile, and pumps are not that popular in the UK to start with. The idea of paying to import a single gun and delivering it to you just to see if 'Ruster' liked it must bring a wry smirk to the businessmen of the gun trade, sorry but it's not going to happen bud. Alsone 789
|I must admit I did a search and I can't find anyone that stocks the BPS. Quote Link to post
Ruster 9
So really my options are import one myself which i assume is a massive headache and to expensive to be worth it, or wait for one to come up for sale then travel to get it unless I'm lucky enough to find one in my area. charlie caller 3,654
If you really want a pump, why not by a Benelli Nova, or one of the Weatherby pump actions? Both nice guns that will last years, I think sportsman gun centre do the Weatherby's Quote Link to post
andyf 144
RUSTER oh dear. NO you cannot import one yourself! 1. You are not an RFD nor do you have an account with Browning UK. 2. Even if you were an RFD you would probably have to get an import via a larger RFD because Browning UK won't deal with you. 3. Even if you were a LARGE RFD you would be forced to buy (many i.e. 100 plus units). Just get a rattle trap Mossberg, that'll cure you of yearning for a pump. ha ha 1 Quote Link to post
celticrusader 78
Had a Stevens 67 series E I think its called ..been broke for the past 6 years tho, would definitely get a decent pump if I was doing a lot of pidgeon shooting...have even looked at the Mossberg's myself. Would advise looking at gunstar as theres quite a few on there last time I looked ..would try for a FAC one if that was an option and then if it was possible with that an auto like a benelli ...that would be the cherry on cake Quote Link to post
Ruster 9
I have got a browning ultra xs prestige for clays and a benelli raffaello super black eagle 2 camo for rough, i just wanted a pump for a bit of variety and the bps lookes like it would fit the bill but tbh it is proving a pain to get one so it looks like its off to the sportsman for a super nova Thanks everyone for the input Edited August 5, 2014 by Ruster 1 Quote Link to post
