patterdale every time...get a nuttal line but be prepared for some serious digging. theyre hard little dogs but great with people. they dont mind big crowds i.e hunting but then theyd rather avoid getting stood on or kicked by mithering people in the crowd unlike a jr. break them to ferrets, chickens, cats early i.e as soon as you get 1 because if you dont it counts as prey. great workers, friendly and very trainable. and the most loyal little dog youl ever get.

Be prepared to cry your f**king eyes out at the total uselessness of your so called diggin dog be prep[ared to shot the seller more like!

as long as you get your pup off workers you will have a good chance. but if you are looking for an allround pest dog dont write off the plummer terrier. google the working plummer terrier site. or click on the link on one of.. keeps .. posts. whatever you get good hunting to you

hi mate, Iv got a lakeland cross Border bitch and shes a great ferreting dog, ratting dog but iv not done much foxes with her this season, and shes a very intelligent hard dog too. Heres a pic mate

a few of the above dogs mentioned sound about right but by the sound of it you want a good allround terrier not just earthwork.if so plummers are good ratters but russells can prove the work above and below.
