Rabbit Prices

Recommended Posts

I usually get £2.50 a rabbit gutted and £3.50 fully dressed. But to be honest I normally just give them to the old folk at the legion for free

This rabbit price malarkey goes round and round, if you are getting £2.50-£3.50 each you are doing well, they are tight buggers round here and the dealers sell them retail at those sort of prices, and of course they only want head shot!

I am in the pest control business and I do my clever stuff on the range, I want them stopped so head shots happen, but I put the round anywhere I know it will work, at £1 each cleaned it is seldom worth me making a trip to my game dealer!

That price is a local butcher he sells them and supplies some local pubs/restaurants. The butchers sell them £5 a peice. The local coop also sells rabbits at £5.25 a peice. I'm more than happy with that price but would rather give them away to the elderly for free. As running a .22lr is hardly expensive

I get £1.50 gutted and it doesn't matter where they are shot as the man does human consumption and pet food.To be honest unless there is a fair number of them i don't bother because either the family or dogs will eat them.

There's not a bad market for rabbits here I sell them gutted for £1.50 but I know people getting upwards of £2 gutted a lot of people are seeing the benifits it's of adding carcass to there dogs diet and the local butcher is allways asking for rabbits I use most of mine for dog and ferret food but it's handy to get shot of a few now and then.
