Longers7 720
Any fruit or nut tree is a good starting point mate, ash, oak, elm and hawthorn all make nice forks........ Or go to your local graveyard and cut some nice Yew forks,
Longers7 720
P.s try and find forks that are pretty much even, saves a lot of work, also try and find forks that have a diameter of at least 25mm (1")
Kemperz21 65
I'm not great with identifying trees but looked up the leaf from the tree I took it from and it's wild maple or maple not sure also have some from hazel I think will put up some pics once there stripped the one I think is maple is quite smart one half is light wood the other is dark like its half dead half alive but it's strong so think it's all good might be wrong though will post pics soon

Longers7 720
That's better mate, yeah that top fork will be a stunner! To dry them, put them in microwave for 15 seconds, then allow them to cool. Then repeat process until dry.
