Kemperz21 65
I'm getting there fired hundreds of shots target practice still a little wobbly but getting much better after learning to aim and shoot properly ;-) one question should a body shot on a woody at about 10/15yds 9.5mm s/steel bb knock it over ? It was a chest shot just got a plume of feathers and my boy laughing at me all that way back to the car lol :-(
Longers7 720
Thing with woodies is mate, there breast bone is solid!! If using 9.5's ideally go for headshot. If body shooting them then try 12mm steel, it packs way more of a punch and normally takes them down no problem. Another good ammo is M10 hexnuts. Can be bought pretty cheaply and are pretty devastating up to about 12 meters, they tend to swerve any distance after that. But keep at it mate, you'll be filling the freezer in no time ;-)
youcanthide...BANG 1,051
9.5 steels to the crop is my preffered aim point on a pigeon, if you got to a wilkos shop in the diy section there's s pick and mix stand of different screws and nails and bolts. For three pound you get a large bag and you can fill it as much as you want, so fill it with the large nuts they have, you should get around 400 for £
Kemperz21 65
I was thinking 9.5s might have been too heavy seems I was wrong lol I'll try m10 hex nuts what about marbles are they any good ? I can get cheap 30 odd for 30p in local shop thanks for replys
youcanthide...BANG 1,051
Marbles are ok for headshots, 9.5 are too light if owt mate. I use the nuts now but 12 mm lead is my preferred ammo
Longers7 720
I've had good success with marbles lately mate , but use hexnuts and 12mm bbs/lead if you can get them
Kemperz21 65
If I had a mould I'd make my own lead ones as I make my own leads for fishing I'll have to try and find one think I'm going to go with hex nuts an see how I get on think id struggle with head shots at the mo ;-) more practice needed for that
