snappeer 464
It sounds strange to me to criticize someone for taking a couple of rabbits to start a young pup, I guess you do things differently to here in oz, if I could show you some of the heat and grounds I have seen dogs run on over here... Anyway I wish you all the very besta know mate but the thing is these pepole think that only place ye can work a lurcher is in freezing cold england [BANNED TEXT] actually pepole hunt with them all over the world in all conditions go on youtube and see how they go in spain.i dont really comment much on this site mate because there is a lot off know it alls . Ye can tell theyd rather be on the computer by the amount off posts they got than get wit the dogs 1 Quote Link to post
snappeer 464
Nothing wrong with getting a pup started snapper but the grounds like bell metal and yer dont need to tell the world There is in this weather. Nothing wrong with getting a pup started snapper but the grounds like bell metal and yer dont need to tell the world There is in this weather. Takein ye dog out for 20 mins is not going to kill ye dog fact if it does and its lungs blow it probly down to a badly bred dog am not talkin all nite here am talkin about 1 or 2 rabs the way pepole have been bringin there pups on for as long az I can remember You got out for a jog in this heat see how you cope mate. Running a dog in such heat can and will sicken and kill dogs. And to got out for 20 mins just to run 1-2 rabbits with a pup when it's hot I would rather hold the pup back till it cools down thanks Youve been knockin off rabs all summer wit ye pea shooter wers the sport in killin baby rabs and wots the gain so dont tryin tell me about bringin pups, on ye barnpot go and get a new keyboard yove pea shooter. Right the thing is there pal is my gun won't over heat or rip it's pads to bits. And as for killing baby rabbits I am not doing it for the sport the farmer asked me to as he as put fresh cabbages down is that ok with you?? so wat happend to your dogs that ye jacked after 8 years did they all die at the age of 8 or did ye swap them for that pellet gun Quote Link to post
snappeer 464
It's not just the hot weather mate it's the fact the ground is hard a fcuk and also I don't know what land u run over but I know some of mine are dairy cow fields and the gate ways and most of the fields are cow trodden which are so dangerous for the dog if it slips or turns funny I would smash a dog to bits not that I wrap mine in cotton wool coz I don't but I can afford a big vets bill and this close to season I don't want any injuries that will set me back ! Atb anyway to u lads who deem the conditions ok to run a dog and good luck I take the pups the sanddunes abar 12 oclock bak in car by quarter past . They probly use more energy and risk foot injery [BANNED TEXT] a take them over the field f a day Quote Link to post
teddog 59
if my dog caught a ''rabbit'' this time of year it wouldn't mean anything to me, it would be pointless. i want to do it in january and february when you give them 100 yds start.thats sport, and dinner.had an accident a little while ago in this heat with a ''rabbit'' and it fukced her up for afew days i had to take her to the vets in the end.but normal rabbits are fair game 365 days a year.
