Nothing wrong with getting a pup started snapper but the grounds like bell metal and yer dont need to tell the world There is in this weather. Takein ye dog out for 20 mins is not going to kill ye dog fact if it does and its lungs blow it probly down to a badly bred dog am not talkin all nite here am talkin about 1 or 2 rabs the way pepole have been bringin there pups on for as long az I can rememberYou got out for a jog in this heat see how you cope mate. Running a dog in such heat can and will sicken and kill dogs. And to got out for 20 mins just to run 1-2 rabbits with a pup when it's hot I would rather hold the pup back till it cools down thanks 2 Quote Link to post

whitefeet4190 1,729
It's not just the hot weather mate it's the fact the ground is hard a fcuk and also I don't know what land u run over but I know some of mine are dairy cow fields and the gate ways and most of the fields are cow trodden which are so dangerous for the dog if it slips or turns funny I would smash a dog to bits not that I wrap mine in cotton wool coz I don't but I can afford a big vets bill and this close to season I don't want any injuries that will set me back ! Atb anyway to u lads who deem the conditions ok to run a dog and good luck 1 Quote Link to post
Silversnake 1,099
It sounds strange to me to criticize someone for taking a couple of rabbits to start a young pup, I guess you do things differently to here in oz, if I could show you some of the heat and grounds I have seen dogs run on over here... Anyway I wish you all the very best 2 Quote Link to post
whitefeet4190 1,729
I know [BANNED TEXT] u mean silver snake but in England there is no need to run on such hard ground I know you can't stay in and wait for the perfect night otherwise we would only be out lamping 3 nights of the whole season but there are enough stupid rabbits about at the beginning of the season as long as people don't go out with young dogs before hand and make them all lamp shy lol Quote Link to post
