Macky 227 Posted August 12, 2014 Author Report Share Posted August 12, 2014 Theres my single handed fox dog only way to run a dog single handed dont get me wrong you dont get as much single but you atleast you no what you have in your pen nice dog pal hows it bred reminds me of my mates 2 dogs ronnie and troy we used to have fox running competitions between pairs of dogs and top trophies ,I have just spoke to my mate as he is the only 1 who has a dvd I will try and get it so I can show you the type of dog I am on about we went out with ronnie and troy had another couple of dogs as we had travelled down to wiltshire thats why travelling at a long distance you will need to take 2 pair as it is 2 far to come back if you just had 2 dogs ,anyway the night started well the first 2 dogs ran caught the fox good start then the other pair ran still a good start but the other 2 dogs got laid up after 3 so then we had to rely on ronnie and troy which between them they caught 11 that was 14 foxes in the middle of november what an enjoyable night watched alot of dogs run foxes good and bad pairs and singles but what a joy to call old charlie in and watch lurchers run what a rush pity some b*****d banned it 6 Quote Link to post

For me it was 100% all about the dogs although I've lamped with a few lads who loved to call and would even travel a 500 mile round trip with us without a dog of their own just to call !!! LOL IMHO you couldnt beat running good strong winter foxes with good dogs. Some of the runs I enjoyed the most was the ones when the fox made its escape 2 Quote Link to post
