Macky 227
to answer your original question macky my favourite was daytime, bolted out the hay bales by terriers, especially in lincoln on the fens had some good days there, but i did like a squeak aswell so hard to pick really, atb at. used to like the daytime myself but found foxes a bit on the dopey side had they may have been out all night gone to ground for a kip our lyed up somewhere it may have been warm ,then they have been bushed or dug out to guns or waiting lurchers ,the point i am making that when you are out at night using your lamping and calling skills you are playing the fox at its own game i dont mean foxes from august to october they are a bit on the numb side I mean foxes from november onwards that have been through the mill a bit what i mean by that rifle men, trappers etc i find that when you call a fox in the later months when you have both played the game and you win how good a feeling is that 4 Quote Link to post

South hams hunter 8,935
We used to do a fair bit of lamping and always used 2 dog's they were always single handed dogs but we used them in pairs for the simple reason it suited the ground we were hunting (small tight fields) we had the same issue down here Quote Link to post
