Macky 227
which do you prefer day time foxing? or night time foxing? personaly i prefer night time when you can use your lamping and calling skills when foxes are more alert and at their best i think foxes are more dopeier in the day time i dont think they use their senses as much as they do at night time especially when they are being flushed out of woods spinnies or when the feilds are just being cut and you are on a stand with your dog preban Quote Link to post

stabba 10,745
yup used to prefer lamping them. plus there's more to go at at night Quote Link to post
blackmaggie 3,376
when being flushed day time there usually being pushed in a certain direction so you can use that to your advantage like bolting them with terriers but under the light i think they are more alert to dangers so they hold the upper hand but i prefer lamping Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
.... Some foxes are dumb, some are clever. Maybe not dumb, but certainly nieve. But there are defiantly more to go at and they are easier to get for the most part at night with one dog and one man. Obviously with hounds its a bit different, but my favourite is one dog hunting and killing its own fox. Had three run in at once the other night on the lamp, could have kicked them. They don't do that so easy in the day. Quote Link to post
blackmaggie 3,376
but jai theres dogs that can take fox then theres foxs dogs and no offence but when pressured theres a lot that jack Quote Link to post
