salmon record

just been watching the news, apparently there has been a fish caught on the river ness, measured and released and the mesurements along with some pictures have been sent to a lab to be checked to see if its beats the long standing record held by Geogina Ballantyne since 1922 of 64lb !

ive allways wanted to catch a salmon over 20lb! i once saw a huge one in the Avon in salisbury,i recon over 3 feet long closer to 4!

Seen some big fish in the avon in salisbury years ago.one of my mates shot another mate through the foot with a harpoon gun right next to the old hospital whilst trying for a sizable fish,he didn't have far to hobble they were stood under the road bridge for hours as well.Used to be a bit of a run every year now thinking about it,never took to much notic then.
