Born Hunter 17,775
Cracker! She was only kept this long to provide an operational Heli carrier so Ocean could be refitted. Of course one Heli carrier is enough....
pesky1972 5,296
Nice pictures pal. Did bits and pieces of work on all three Invincible class boats years ago. Impressive bits of kit. A few years back..., it was about 2003 I think, the day that Concorde made her final flight. If you remember it flew all round the UK and crowds turned out in numbers to see it. Anyway..., I was working out on the River Forth and just happened to be watching HMS Invinsible doing some trial or exercise (think she'd just come out of refit) with three Sea Kings buzzing around her when Concorde flew low right up the Forth over the two bridges. All at once I had Concorde, the Forth bridge, HMS Invincible & the three choppers and even a blue sky all in my view.... sadly it was one of the few times I didn't have a camera with me!!! spew-ing!!! You might have been late Bob..., but at least you had your camera
