R.A.W 1,987
It's a real shame because all bull breeds make great pets in the right hands but there's a few numpties out there making it impossible for others.
stabba 10,745
Keep putting the propaganda out and eventually they'll get the ban they have been seeking

dare 1,103
If dog attacks have increased hasn't it proved that the dda has failed? And a new approach is needed. As much as I would say bull breeds aren't for everyone and making em legal would possibly increase that. Every wrong un can get them easily enough if they want anyway. If anything the media fuel the fire by calling them the devil dogs and all the other bullshit. It attracts the wrong people who are idiots, then they do what's expected and then the media turn around saying "look we told you so". It's abit like the war on drugs IMO people have pushed their careers with lies. Told so many lies and dont want to be seen to be idiots and go back on their word. Plus they get people donating with their sob stories when they catch the idiotic owners they half created. The banning of breeds has failed and a new approach is needed. One which is more focused on the owners who can't control their dogs regardless of the breed.
neems 2,406
I reckon Staffs are the most popular pet dogs. to ban them you may as well ban all dogs, not going to be a vote winner either way,so hopefully we're safe for now at least.
northern lad 2,292
Ive kept bull breeds for the last 25 yrs ,the staff I have here is my last.....too much hassle As for the DDA...theres never been as many pit bulls round here as there is now....made them all the more desirable to all the wrong people
Mister Gain 1,764
Yep... dangerous dogs those Staff's
rabbit demon 302
The ban only seems to effect law abiding dog owners, as northern lad said theirs more american pit bull terrier crosses on the streets than ever, if they get stopped with them they say it's a Staffy, plenty golden retrievers, husky's and other breeds have killed and mauled people too but it won't make the papers, Start charging the owners for the actions of their dogs and see who wants to own them then, I'd say it would only be the serious owners, the ban doesn't and hasn't worked it just made the idiots want them more. gnasher16 30,062
Said it a million times.....the further you breed a working dog away from its work the more problems you will have..........man made the Apbt and man destroyed it....we have nobody to blame but ourselves. When you buy a high performance car thats dangerous in the wrong hands you pay a massive insurance premium....which helps to keep idiots away from them. When you buy a high performance dog thats dangerous in the wrong hands you pay nothing....which means anyone can have them. Edited July 24, 2014 by gnasher16
