walshie 2,804
Police helicopter? TC I thought something like that, but surely the light would move over the whole garden, not just light up one spot then go. And I'd think a helicopter searchlight would light a bigger area. I've narrowed it down to ghosts or UFOs.

NELS0N 457
I've had a particularly wily fox in my garden for over a week now. It's been eating the bait out of the cage through the bars but won't go in. I looked this morning on the CCTV footage from last night to see if I could see anything and saw this. Looks like an explosion in the cage??? I didn't know dog food exploded. There's no damage or anything. What do you reckon? 230714.jpg Looks like an IR torch using 4 focused LED's. The small round spot could be another reflection of said IR. Edit: on second glance it looks more like a single IR LED and aspheric lense hence the square beam. beast 1,884
ok, this might make me look really dumb, but i'm going to throw it into the melting pot anyway. do those night cameras pick up UV or infrared or that sort of thing, rather than normal light as our eyes do? in which case, what potential sources of infra red or whatever can you think of? we wouldnt see that with the naked eye would we? just a thought.... neems 2,406
It looks a bit like a zoomed in lumen cree with the square beam, but that could just be the frame of the trap.

T20? 501b? any of those type of torches with an aspheric lense will throw a square beam
