Flipper_Al 1,012
I must have written tons on this over the years...and played about with most of their products So this is just my opinion on it.. they are very good devices but there built on standard industry parts, Apple dont make any of the bits inside it.... its same as you would get in any PC/Laptop, ie Intel chips foxconn motherboards... etc They run a unix based OS with Apples software/interface on top They do go wrong, but they have a presence in the high street so getting any issue resolved is simple enough People do preceive that by paying more for something that it must somehow be better, also known as the cashebo effect. I have and an Android tablet for the last 18 months, its faster than the lastest iPad, and cost a third of the price... if it goes wrong and its out of warranty, i will by another one(£158)..... Hope it helps Edited July 22, 2014 by Flipper_Al

AndyH 52
I've got a Macbook Pro, and I wouldn't use anything else. It's my 2nd one now (pint on the first one, oops!), and for what I use it for, it's fantastic.

When talking about tablets you also got the fact that the Android ones are compatible with all sorts of storage media, accessories and allow you to use them in any way you want and not just in the way the manufacturer thinks you shouldbe using it.. The Seeker 3,048
no messing about with anti virus, and as said it just works. Flipper I bow down to your knowledge on computers but from an out and out user who uses PC for work and a Mac for personal, the Mac seems to be miles ahead.
Flipper_Al 1,012
I think that Apple may not be telling you the whole truth http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/apple/9355995/Apple-drops-virus-immunity-claim-for-Macs.html I used to support a large firm that switched to an all Mac infrastructure, their reasoning.. no need for AV, and more secure, 6 months in they installed an AV onto all 30 Server, and their desktops/laptops Edited July 23, 2014 by Flipper_Al

Plus, they have a resale value and windows pcs don't

Yep, at work were just upgrading 220 Windows Server 2003 R2 as it goes end of life 6/2015, plus we have another 500 servers running Windows 2008 R2 and 2012 servers.
