inan 841
Yes i do remember him mate lived on a site just off the a127,thought it was a good move for him at the time but seemed to just fade i dont know where he is now...............but this is the point im trying to make Billy is no more sensible than the next nutty gypsy kid ......but with proven and experienced boxing people who have been their and done it around him its common sense that he has a far better chance of success.....................why Furys people didnt try and get him in with Joe Gallagher or one of the other top trainers up there i dont know.......its like anything if you want success you stack the odds in your favour. Saunders seems a nice lad but I don't see anything there to make me think he would do anything at world level.I thought his opponent was pretty poor Saturday and although he stopped him I haven't been impressed with his power. neems 2,406
Do you think he would have dominated the way he did in any other era than the one he fought in Neems ?.........Good boxer with a great chin and conditioning but lets not underestimate how weak the era and how poor the competition he faced was.I do I actually think a lot of the giant, lazy heavyweights could dominate in the days when 6'1 was considered tall, let alone a talented and dedicated giant like him He was the best of both worlds,as skilled as lot's of the heavyweight champs before him,but much bigger and stronger. Like any world title its all about timing and the talent thats in the division at the moment it is hard to give him much of a case....that said Darren Barker being an old Repton boy i was over the moon when he won a world title......deep down did i think he was good enough....no not really. On saying all that i still dont think we have seen the best of what Billy Joe has to offfer.
brookie 1,193
Cant believe Fury ducked this fight after slating Haye and Chisora for doing the same . Maybe he sensed the wheels were going to come off. This i do know Boxing is as corrupt as the Russian Mafia. max il assure you mate ( cos your one of the more sensible blokes on here ) tyson ducked no one .if we ever speak personal or phone etc il tell you exactly what the craic was .lets just say warren was rumbled . brookie 1,193
Marshman , That's something only the people involved with can answer , BJS , is very talented but in a more competitive weight division than Fury , perhaps the Frank Warrens of the game have trouble doing business with traveller boxers , perhaps the Furys have now given an unfair picture of travellers in the boxing world , boxing lives on rumours and tales , I can think of one or two local to me who it was rumoured were on the " Columbian marching powder " and with " the wrong crowd " , true or not , their careers hit the buffers , and these were future World Champs not bums , the boxing press ,fans , promoters , demand everything to be acceptable before parting with their money . stop talking crap man ffs you aint got a clue what your on about

robin hood 109
so with fury not taking the fight will it put him back in the pecking order for a tilt at the title or should he of taken the fight, won and be the no1 contender,,in the public eye he ducked the fight
marky b 309
I'm not sure but i think the title eliminator was only between fury and chisora that's why it's getting rescheduled I might be wrong but if fury beat Ustinov he'd would still had to fight Del Boy have I got that right lol
MIK 4,756
Brookie you have been unusually quiet on the matter ...cmon lad lets here your thoughts on the matter
zigzag dan 784
Brookie , remove the blinkers you wear regarding Fury , don't make out Im lying about the two lads whose careers went off the rails due to bad advice/ company either ................as I was part of the bad company for a time ! BJS is in a more competitive weight div , anyone can see that , and finally why aren't the Yanks offering Fury big money to go there ...........because hes of no interest to them ..................to be honest I don't dislike Tyson , he is limited skillwise but hes interesting but he needs to drop the people around him and start being a pro ..................but whilst people like you keep telling him how great he is all the time it aint going to happen .
stealthy1 3,964
At this rate, Fury could hold all the titles with out getting in the ring, the way his apponents duck him, its no wonder Fury's a touchy f****r
bryson 562
did he not himself just DUCK an opponent
gnasher16 30,025
to be honest I don't dislike Tyson , he is limited skillwise but hes interesting but he needs to drop the people around him and start being a pro ..................but whilst people like you keep telling him how great he is all the time it aint going to happen . Its like having all the ingredients to cook a blinding meal then expecting it to taste as good as if Gordon Ramsay cooked it !!..............when naive people try to outsmart proven success you have to ask yourself whos interests they really have at heart. Ggib 370
just a shame he doesnt seem to prove the doubters wrong, zigzags right he needs to start acting like a pro. at the end of the day he can let on he doesnt give a shit what people think but thats bullkack, as joe public are his money and if he cant sell tickets and doesnt fight then he aint gona earn money
