yes now you've explained it i've just found out first hand this is what's needed with mine, although we both (me and my mate) have wildcats mine is shorter and his has the end plate fit to his barrel for support but the one i have is not large enough to remain on and i must order a new one to support my barrel size.

any suggestions?

Have it reamed out mate, should not cost much.

As far as I am aware it is normal practice to have the bush reamed out to fit your barrel, unless you were lucky when you bought a secondhand moderator and the bush matched your barrel, everyone I know that has an over barrel moderator, myself included, has had the bush sized to their individual barrel dimensions.
