Rake aboot 4,936
Some idiot overturned a sleeper on the wifes regular dog walk. Left these pups baking in the sun. Couldn`t have been done long, so I have an idea of who done it as his van was parked up. Can`t decide, Voles, or Rats I`m thinking Rats cause the tail looks quite thick, but hey ho I could be wrong What do you lot think.? Anyway, the missus covered them up again, so hopefully the parent reapeared.

bobcullen79 1,495
Hard to measure them from the photos but I'm thinking shrews. I thought shrew. But Im going for rat, because of the thick tail, thats shorter than its body. Its face looks too pointy for a vole. Ive just read that if it was a mouse, its tail would be long and thin, but it wasnt clear if it referring to juveniles or infants.
Rake aboot 4,936
The fact they were under wood made me think rat. Shrew would be underground no ? Also, the ground is notoriously damp there, and is near water.
Dawn B 212
Shrews

neil cooney 10,416
Maybe when they're that young it doesn't work but when eaten shrews give off a foul tasting toxin, hence the reason foxes don't eat them.
